IndvsSA-Rohit Scores Ton In Vizag

Limited over specialist Rohit Sharma made a big statement with his unbeaten century on the first day of the first Test against South Africa in Vizag. Rohit came in place of KL Rahul and in the practice match the Mumbai batsman disappointed. But Rohit did not carry that score in the official Test and in 154 balls, he brought his ton with ten 4s and four 6s.

Rohit was aptly complimented by young talent Mayank Agarwal who also remained unbeaten on 84. But it was the rain that played the spoilsport as the umpires abandoned the play due to overcast condition.

By the end of the first day's play, India's scorecard stood at 202 runs for no loss of wicket and 59.1 overs were bowled.

Before that it was India's skipper Virat Kohli who has won the toss and elected to bat first.
