Here is the first reaction of victim Disha's father over the encounter of all four accused in his daughter's brutal rape and murder case. "My daughter's soul must be at peace now," Disha's father was quoted as saying. He welcomed the encounter of the gang rapists. Disha's sister Bhavya Reddy too welcomed the encounter. She felt this would set as an example. Disha's family has thanked the Telangana police.

Nirbhaya's father backed Hyderabad police over the encounter. Responding on the encounter, Nirbhaya's mother said, "Justice has been served."

According to cops, the encounter took place in the wee hours of Friday at around 3.30 am. According to police, the accused had tried to flee when they were reconstructing the crime scene and the accused were shot by policemen
