Of course, every year a beauty with brains and a good heart is adjudged the "Miss India" and the time has come to look at 2018's hottie. This time a 19-year-old Tamilnadu college student has stunned everyone. And there is a Telugu girl also sitting on the podium as second runner-up.

Anukreethy Vas, the dusky girl from Tamilnadu, has won the crown last night and none other than Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar handed her the crown. While Meenakshi Chaudhary from Haryana was the first runner-up, the second runner-up position is grabbed by Telugu girl Shreya Rao Kamavarapu of Andhra Pradesh. 

Anukreethy Vas will now represent India at Miss World 2018, while Meenakshi will go to Miss Grand International 2018 contest and Telugu girl Shreya Rao will be taking part in Miss United Continents 2018 respectively. 

In the recent times, we have seen Telugu girl from Vizag Shobitha Dhulipala crowned Miss India in 2013. Later she has become Kingfisher Calendar girl also while she's trying her hand at films now.
