After finding the third positive case of Coronavirus in Kerala, the state government of Kerala declared it as a state calamity. They say that it is not to scare or panic the public, but an intention to bring better awareness and keep them proactive towards eradicating this virus from spreading to more people.

There were 140 samples collected and tested in Kerala, from students who have returned from China, of which 3 are positive and 46 are negative. The three students are from different parts of the state and each of them is kept in isolation and under close monitoring.

About 80 people were once in direct contact with the confirmed cases and are under the surveillance of the state health department in Kerala, along with the other 2000 people who were monitored for possible exposure to the virus. In the last four days, more than 350 were killed due to this deadly Coronavirus, which originated in Wihan city of China.
