AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) had banned Hero Dileep after he was named as prime accused in the abduction and sexual assault case of Actress Bhavana. Much to everyone's shock, The ban was lifted even though neither Police nor Court have given clean chit to the Star Hero.

Actress Bhavana felt it doesn't make any sense if she continues her association with such an organization any longer. She took to her Facebook page to inform about her exit from AMMA.

Three Other Actresses (Remya Nambeesan, Reema Kallingal, Geethu Mohandas) resigned to AMMA for expressing their solidarity to Bhavana. They alleged AMMA supported Dileep instead of standing by the victim fighting for justice. Mohanlal who is the head of the Film Body is yet to respond on this matter.

On February 17th, The Actress was abducted and sexually assaulted for two hours. Pulsar Suni & his Gang has filmed the assault and offered the memory card to Dileep who is allegedly the main conspirator. Cops accused Dileep of holding grudge against the Actress as she disclosed about his affair with Kavya Madhavan (whom he married later) to his ex-wife Manju Warrier
