The polling for Telangana municipal elections is underway in Wednesday morning. A total of 12,843 candidates are in foray from TRS, BJP, Congress and other parties in Telangana. Over 53 lakh voters have the eligibility to vote.

All the political parties have indulged in money tricks to woo the voters. Until last night, the ruling and opposition parties were busy distributing money to the voters and they are offering Rs 1000 to Rs 5000 per vote at rural places. For urban places like Hyderabad outskirts, a single vote is being sold for Rs 10,000.

As the police have tightened security, the leaders using technology to transfer money to the voters. Apps like Google Pay, PayTm, PhonePe and others were used and are still using to get votes from the public.

The voting will conclude at 5 PM and the leaders are on alert till the last minute.
