End Of H4 Visas For Families Of H1B Visa Holders With In 3 Months

Trump Administration informed Federal Court about its decision to revoke the work permits of H-4 Visa Holders (primarily Spouses of H-1B Visa Holders) within the next 3 Months.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) told a District Court in Columbia that it's been making a swift progress in revoking the regulations denying employment authorization for H-4 Visa Holders. 'New Regulations would be submitted to the Office of Management of Budget (OMB, White House within 3 months,' said DHS.

For the third time, The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) informed the Federal Court about the delay in issuance of Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM). Three Status Reports (on February 28, May 22, August 20) have been filed so far. The next status report is going to be filed on November 19th.

By Dec 2017, The US Citizenship and Immigration Services approved 1,26,853 applications for employment authorization for H-4 Visa Holders. As many as 93 percent of the approved applications for H-4 Employment Authorization were issued to Indian-origin Immigrants. While Chinese-born Individuals accounts to 5 percent, Those born in all other nations make up the remaining 2 percent.
