In a thrilling encounter, Bangladesh pulled off a stunning victory over Team India in the first T20 that just concluded in Delhi. Bangladesh captain Mahmadullah hit a massive six off Shivam Dube's third ball in the final over to clinch Bangladesh's first ever T20 win against India.
Batting first, the Men in Blue, led by Rohit Sharma, put on a solid score of 148, losing 6 wickets. Shikhar Dhawan (41), Roshan Pant (27) and Shreyas Iyer (22) were the star batsmen for the Indian team today. Coming to Bangladesh bowling, Shafiul and Aninul Islam took 2 wickets each and restricted Team India to 148.
With a huge yet gettable total to chase, Bangladesh quickly lost Liton Das (7). However, Mohammad Naim (26), Soumya Sarkar (39), Mushfiqur Rahim (60) and Mahmadullah (15) performed exceptionally well to ensure Bangladesh reach 154 for the loss of 3 wickets.
