The US-ordered drone strike that killed the head of Iran's elite Quds force Qassem Soleimani, has not gone well with the leaders in Iran.

After reports confirmed that the strike ordered by Trump and attack carried out from Pentagon, Iran's leaders vowed to exact 'a forceful revenge' against the US in response. Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei condemned the attack and promised revenge from Iran.

Iran's revenge attack on the US is expected to be the cyber offensive that targets online infrastructure across the US military and the private sector too. Reports emerged that Iran had spent many years developing its computer-warfare capabilities right after the country's nuclear facilities were cyberattacked.

The US defense experts already focused on cyber defenses as they don't underestimate the intelligent cyber opponent. Iran has been linked to sophisticated cyberattacks against many countries including Turkey, Israel, the US and also the UK.

Iranian hackers were capable of putting Turkey under massive power outage for more than 12 hours and US defense too alleged that Iran cyber attacked US banks in 2012.

Iranian cyberattacks are likely to target the critical infrastructure in the US and that could be devastating impacting globally, experts opine.
