The second One day international match between India and West Indies at YS Rajasekhar Reddy stadium in Vishakapatnam was a visual feast for audiences as India posted a massive total in first innings. West Indies slumped to 107-run defeat after hosts scored 387 runs, supported by two great centuries by Rohit Sharma (159) and KL Rahul (102) and a half century from Shreyas Iyer (53).
Even though WI started off at a good pace, Shardul Thakur picked up first wicked (Lewis) in 11th over. In following overs, Hetmyer and Chase also have departed. Pooran, who came in as fourth batsman, started off slowly but he picked up pace and went on build a great partnership with Shai Hope. Both of them were laying a platform to achieve the target. By hitting 6 fours and 6 fours, Pooran made 75 out of 47 balls. But, Shami sent him out when WI were at 192 in 30th over.
What has changed the momentum is a surprise hattrick by spinner Kuldeep Yadav in 33rd over. The left arm spinner picked up the wickets of Shai Hope, Holder and Alzarri Joseph. Finally, India limited Carribbean team to 280 in 43.3 overs, which gave a massive 107-run victory.
