Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the legendary Indian cricketer, is well-known for his passion for automobiles and motorcycles, and he has built quite a collection over the years. MS Dhoni recently won a bid for a 1971 Land Rover Series Station Wagon at an online auction hosted by Big Boy Toyz, adding yet another car to his already impressive collection. Before you ask, neither party has divulged the amount of the winning bid; all we know is that it will soon be delivered to MS Dhoni's garage in Ranchi, where it will join the rest of Dhoni's impressive collection of automobiles.

The Land Rover Series 3 Station Wagon that MS Dhoni purchased at the auction is actually rather rare: it was one of the most popular Land Rover Series cars ever made, with its yellow and white dual-tone appearance. Between 1971 and 1985, the British carmaker produced almost 440,000 Series 3 Station Wagons. The car came with a few engine options at the time, including a 2.3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and a 3.5-litre V8. A four-speed manual transmission and a two-speed manual transfer case were among the transmission options.

Big Boy Toyz pointed out that the auction featured a variety of other classic automobiles, including a Volkswagen Beetle for which bidding began at 1 lakh and ended at 25 lakh. In addition to the Land Rover that MS Dhoni will take home, this auction featured a total of 19 cars, including Rolls Royces, Cadillacs, Buicks, Chevrolets, Austins, Mercedes, and more.
