Never Thought A Simple Yellow Kurta Would Go Viral

With many remarkable scenes, Tamil blockbuster 96 is that one movie which will linger in our hearts for a very, very long time. 96 will make the viewers wait for the heroine's intro like never before. Janu, S Janaki Devi and K Ramachandran are nothing but reflections of many of us. The school time romance is also nostalgic to many with a sweet love story.

The director, C Prem Kumar, also made sure to generate enough goosebumps with the title as Ram and Janu's love story is enough to leave 90's kids speechless. In fact, even driest mindsets were washed by the magic of 96. Recently, Trisha also bagged the Filmfare award for Best Actor In A Leading Role (Female) for the film. On her memorable role, Trisha said, 'The love and admiration I've received for Jaanu is overwhelming and very unexpected. As obvious, it is a good role and I have felt that way about many of my films'.

'But I did not know that the character would be this well-received. I knew the film would do well and people will relate to Ram and Janu, But I didn't know a simple yellow kurta will go viral," she said. The yellow kurta left audience of all sections spellbound as Trisha is seen in that kurta where the realistic and unconditional love filled screens attract viewers.

Trisha alo added that 'We had a look freeze.. and when I saw I was like 'is that it? ' It was so simple. But the simple thing worked. I don't know as yet being an actor what it is that makes a character connects so much. And that is why I think certain characters are magic. I think Jaanu is one of those after Jessie, where people could relate to it. I think love is an easy genre to reach people because there is not one person who cannot relate to it'.

The actress also mentioned that she never had a school or college love story but there is something in the film that touched her. Not to mention, apart from the yellow kurta which remained close to our hearts, the casting and characterization of the film also created the purest form of emotions.
