Vicky Kaushal is excited about the release of his upcoming film, Sardar Udham. The actor took to Instagram on Thursday, October 7, to share his prison look as the freedom fighter Sardar Udham Singh. Vicky also revealed the story of the courageous man who fought for India’s independence. Sardar Udham is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video on October 16.

Vicky Kaushal’s Sardar Udham trailer dropped on September 30 and piqued the interest of fans. Sardar Udham Singh was a patriot who was on a mission to avenge the lives of those who were killed in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. Vicky recently shared a photo of himself as Sardam Udham from his prison days. He revealed why the freedom fighter was jailed and his eventual escape to Europe.

Sharing the photo, Vicky wrote, “1931, Prison, India. Udham Singh was in prison for possession of prohibited papers ‘Ghadr-i-Gunj’ (‘Voice of Revolt’). He was released later but under constant surveillance. Soon, he escaped to Europe and never got to return to India. #SardarUdham #SardarUdhamOnPrime
