3000 Acres For Vishakapatnam Capital Region

While the opposition parties in AP are staging protests in support of Amaravati farmers to withdraw three-capital announcement, CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's government seems to be making swift moves to shift capital region to Vishakapatnam.

Even though there's no official notification from government, the district-level authorities have received an indication to make all essential arrangements. Based on the suggestions by GN Rao committee to set the CM Camp Office, Secretariat, State  Assembly and High Court bench in Vishakapatnam, the district officials primarily estimated 3,000 acres of land would be enough for the administrative buildings.

It is being heard that government is looking to allocate lands in and around Mudasarlova, Vizag rural, Bhimunipatnam, Anandapuram, Sabbavaram and Pendurdhi regions. These lands would accommodate secretariat, Offices for cabinet ministers, directors, CM camp office and more.

It is known that CM YS Jagan, in last day speech of winter Assembly session, has announced that Vishakapatnam could become the Administrative Capital of state while Amaravati will remain as legislative capital and Kurnool might become judicial capital.

Also, the state government is mulling over the idea of constructing the Metro project from Anakapalli to Bhogapuram. AP cabinet is likely to discuss about GN Rao-committee in cabinet meeting on 27th December.
